Mr. Burishkin! I just heard the news, I'm so sorry! I'll be praying that you get better soon. You are one of my favorite teachers from high school, and what I learned in your physics class is really helping me a lot in college.

Get better soon!

Dear Dave:
Lisa and I are praying for you. We wish we could be there to encourage you and your family. We have really been blessed to have you as our teacher at MVA. You were such an encouragement and a dedicated teacher to all of us. Our prayers are with you and the medical team who are caring for you. God bless and may God give you strength.

Love,
Marc and Lisa Iwahashi

Mr. Burishkin:

I am a self-proclaimed dunderhead when it comes to math/science, but your class was the most fun I've ever had with numbers. Thanks for being such a "method" teacher. You're relationships with your students is something that I admire. I can only hope that I'll be able to connect in such a meaningful way with my own students some day. I'll always remember "The Burishkin Five" from Algebra freshman year and you making Justin Ocampo do pushups for me whenever I talked in class (so rare. haha).

You're in my thoughts and prayers. If anybody can kick this thing's butt, it's you.

Hi Mr. Burishkin!

The news has made it to PUC. We are praying for you. I enjoyed your class, especially the labs. You provided many babbles and trinkets, from air tracks to confocal lenses. Thank you!

God bless,

Dear Dave:

You were very patient in the 2 classes I had with you, and didn't allow people making fun of each other when you were around. You recently helped me to remember an accomplishment I had won, which is very important to me since I tend to remember my failures and all the bad times from LLA student haters instead. I am praying to a risen savior, a God who never changes and still works wonders for your healing in the mighty name of Jesus.

Hi, Dave,

I had no idea you've been ill until I saw the notice in church today for tonight's gathering which directed me to this website. I remember so well your positive attitude and big-heartedness from my days of working at LLA. I join with many others in their prayers for you and your family.

Mr. Burishkin,
I am praying for you and your family...you were an amazing teacher. You made physics fun, and you have a knack for connecting with students and teaching more than what is just in the books.
